How to Use OVERKILL:

  1. Initiate the command:
    • Type OVERKILL in the command line and press Enter.
    • Alternatively, select it from the cursor menu drop down.
    • Alternatively, access it from the Ribbon: Home tab > Modify panel > Cleanup dropdown > Overkill.

  1. Select objects (optional):
    • To target specific areas, select the desired objects before starting the command.

    • To apply it to the entire drawing, press <Enter> to proceed without selection. This will end the OVERKILL command and clean up the entire drawing base on the current settings.

  1. If you selected some objects in a target area:

    • The Delete Duplicate Objects dialog box appears.
    • Tolerance: Adjust the tolerance value for detecting overlaps (default is 0.00000000).
    • Ignore Object Property: Select these object properties to ignore them during comparison.
    • Optimize segments within polylines: Check this to merge overlapping polyline segments.

  1. Apply the command:
    • Click OK to execute OVERKILL.
  2. Review results:
    • A message box indicates the number of objects deleted and/or modified.
    • Visually inspect the drawing for any unintended changes.
